Who founded Stocks Local?

Stocks Local was founded in 2025 by Tyler Stocks, a web designer and developer based in the UK. He runs the studio as the sole founder and personally designs and builds every site that leaves the studio in Next.js or headless Shopify. There are no account managers, no offshored teams, and no template layer between the client and the person building the site.

Do you build custom Shopify websites?

Yes. Custom Shopify development is the core of what we do. We replace marketplace themes with stores built from scratch for your brand, on headless Shopify (a custom storefront on top of the Shopify Storefront API) or custom Next.js. Full migration from WooCommerce, Squarespace, or BigCommerce is handled end to end, with Klaviyo flows, GEO, and on-page SEO built in. Our deepest niche is home wellness and recovery tech, but we work with any premium DTC brand on the same stack.

Who do you work with?

Two lanes. The first is product brands on Shopify or custom Next.js, where our deepest experience is home wellness and recovery tech (saunas, cold plunge, red light, PEMF, recovery hardware). The second is ambitious businesses of any sector that want a launch site: studios, clinics, trades, and local companies that want to look like the best in their market. I'm not an ecommerce brand. Can you still build my site?

Yes. The Launch Site exists exactly for that: a custom-designed site for a service business, studio, clinic, or local company, live in about two weeks, from £1,500. Same design standard and the same SEO and GEO foundation as the larger builds, scaled to fit. Several of the Google reviews on this page are exactly that kind of project.

What does a Stocks Local project cost?

All fixed price. The Launch Site is £1,500 to £4,000 and takes one to two weeks: a custom-designed site for any business, with SEO and GEO foundation and analytics included. The Shopify Build is £8,000 to £12,000 (roughly $10,000 to $15,000) over four to six weeks: a custom Shopify website on headless Shopify or Next.js with full migration and brand kit. Adding the Launch Sprint (Meta and TikTok pixels with CAPI, GA4, Clarity, and a 30-day conversion sprint) takes it to £14,000 to £20,000. The Authority Retainer is £1,500 per month with a six-month minimum, covering two cornerstone articles written for search and AI citation, ongoing improvements to the site itself, and a brand asset pack each month.

What is GEO and why does it matter for DTC?

GEO is Generative Engine Optimisation. It is the practice of structuring your site so that ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overviews cite your brand when a buyer asks for a recommendation. For a recovery brand selling a £3,000 sauna, being the AI-recommended answer is the new top of funnel. We build the schema, content, and entity signals that make citation possible from day one.

How is GEO different from SEO?

SEO gets you into search result lists. GEO gets you cited as the answer. Both matter. SEO is how a buyer finds you on a Google results page. GEO is how the AI picks one of three brands to recommend out loud. We do both as standard on every build.

Question 8

Do you also run paid ads, email, or social?

Accepted Answer

No. We build sites and we keep sites sharp. Paid ads, email flows, and social management are run by specialists who do those things every day, and we refer clients to people we trust. Launch Sprint includes a 30-day setup and handoff so your media buyer can take over, but ongoing ads management is not a service we sell.

Do you do backlinks or external SEO?

No. GEO foundation and on-page SEO are baked into every build, and the retainer continues that work on the site itself with new articles, schema updates, new landing pages, and design and content improvements. We do not run backlink campaigns, citation building, directory submissions, or any other external SEO. Those are different disciplines and we refer them out.

Where are you based?

The studio is based in the UK. We work with brands globally across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Western Europe. For a product brand selling online, the location of the agency is irrelevant to the work itself.

Do you work with US brands, or can you only build for UK Shopify stores?

Accepted Answer

We work with premium DTC brands in the UK, US, Canada, and Western Europe. The studio has a UK base and works globally. For a Shopify store selling online, the agency's location does not affect the build, the migration, or the result. We quote in pounds with a US dollar equivalent so US brands can budget directly, and we work async-friendly across time zones.
