Custom storefront, Shopify underneath
A Next.js front end gives Awaken control over atmosphere, page rhythm, and product education while Shopify supplies the live catalogue, variants, and cart data.
CASE STUDY / HEADLESS SHOPIFY
A headless Shopify storefront for a County Tyrone workshop, built to turn handcrafted sauna expertise into a considered buying journey across the UK and Ireland.

The useful problem
Awaken sells considered, high-value products across indoor, outdoor, wood-fired, commercial, and premium saunas, alongside cold-water therapy. The website had to make a mixed product range easier to understand without flattening the craft into a generic catalogue. Buyers needed clear answers on materials, heater choices, dimensions, delivery, assembly, and custom sizing, while the brand still felt like the small County Tyrone workshop behind every build.
These are the parts a buyer does not see in a screenshot, but they are the reason the site is useful after the first scroll.

02
Outdoor, indoor, wood-fired, commercial, premium, and cold-water therapy filters turn a mixed 16-product catalogue into a route a buyer can scan.
03
Price, VAT, dimensions, heat-up time, heater requirements, optional upgrades, delivery, assembly, warranty, FAQs, and custom sizing sit around the buying decision.
04
The County Tyrone workshop, Nordic timber, authentic Finnish design, maker-led guidance, and real owner reviews repeat across the site so trust does not depend on one About page.
Build ledger
The live Awaken footer links directly to stockslocal.com with the line ‘Built by Stocks Local’, providing public attribution for the build.
The storefront handles 16 live products across indoor, outdoor, wood-fired, commercial, premium, and cold-water categories, with product options and a working cart path.
The live build exposes canonical URLs and a sitemap, with business, website, product, breadcrumb, and FAQ structured data where relevant.
Screens from the build

We built a custom Next.js storefront with Shopify behind the catalogue and cart. The collection separates 16 live products into outdoor, indoor, wood-fired, commercial, premium, and cold-water therapy paths. Product pages combine price, options, practical requirements, delivery and assembly, FAQs, owner reviews, and a direct route to a custom build. Brand, benefits, and workshop content sit on dedicated crawlable pages, with structured data clarifying the business, products, breadcrumbs, and common questions.
The result
Awaken now has a storefront that feels like the products it sells: atmospheric at first glance, practical when a buyer starts comparing, and human when the project needs a conversation. The same system handles cold-water accessories, configurable home saunas, and commercial builds without forcing every purchase into the same generic template.
